In some situation, you’re forced to stay or sleep on places where there’s a treat of bed bug (if you just discovered an infestation at home, hotels where you’re staying, family’s and friends’… etc.).

Your only option is preventing bed bugs from:

• getting to your belongings,
• reaching your bed (box spring, drapes, covers and sheets),
• biting you.

We call that bed bug control tactics or strategies. There is two types :
One time actions, which allow you to set protection perimeter once and for all to protect your bed and self,
Ongoing habits, which helps you preserve the one time actions safe.

One time actions

• bed isolation : you need to isolate your bed from wall and furnitures. Rearrange drapes and sheets in order to never reach the floor. You’ll need ClimbUp Inspectors to make sure bed bugs won’t climb to your bed.
• Mattress and box spring encasement : if your bed is infested or suspected to be infested, you’ll need use bed encasements to make sure bed bugs won’t reach and bite you. When bed isolation and encasement are joined on a clean uninfected situation, you’ll have better chance to be fully protected.

• Seal drawers, luggages and clothes : bed bugs don’t live exclusively in beds. They’re likely to be found on places nearby like drawers and may easily be hidden on you cloths and your luggages by extension. Keeping these items isolated will protect there content from being infested.

• Launder all cloths, beddings (sheets and drapes) at high heat will kill and clean them up.

Once you have your bed and furnitures nearby fully protected and isolated, make sure to gain these few habits to enforce the isolation :

• Don’t let bedding touch the floor,
• Don’t put cloths and belongings on bed, floor or any furnitures around,
• Make sure to put dirty laundry on sealed, isolated, dissolvable laundry bags: to help prevent and eventual spread due to infested clothes and protect the countenance from being infested from outside. Once put on the washing machine, these bags are dissolved while washing. You’re sure that the countenance is sealed and no bed bug could get in or out the bag.

• All laundry are advised to be done on high heat (clothes, beddings).

Control tactics are meant to help you co-exist on bedbugs suspicious or infested environments. It’s also a must do before thing about prevention.
